Lion King, Toy Story, Beauty & the best & other famous movies are classified as legendary animated films, unlike the films on this list which are often overlooked & ignored but are actually as good as these “legendary” films!

How many films on this list have you seen already?

I knew The Black Cauldron was going to be on this list! Yes. Yes. YES!
And YES to Anastasia as well.

*edit/ and The Road to El Dorado, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Atlantis!

WHEN I WAS LITTLE I USED TO SING THAT SONG FROM THE LAST UNICORN 24/7 THAt MOVIE  GAVE ME LIFE

I grew up on so many of those films.  THE LAST UNICORN WAS SUPER WEIRD, IT DOES NOT BELONG ON THE LIST.

but really though.  secret of NIMH.  where your 12 year old self will be attracted to a rat.

y’all don’t even know my pain one of my favorite animated movies as a child was the princess and the goblin, which no one has fucking heard of

For the record, most of the movies mentioned are a) stellar and b) are based off a book that’s (in most cases) 10 times better. Best example being The Princess and the Goblin, which is one of the most wonderful books of all time. It’s by George MacDonald (aka the grandfather of fantasy) and everyone should go read it and everything else by him right now please thanks.
